Short & Long Stays

- For students 17 and up

All students 17 and up can apply for short stay programs. They are offered throughout the year, including during school breaks. You will either be placed in a host family carefully chosen by ICCS after a visit by one of our coordinators or you can stay in a residence hall or a studio apartment. You can also chose to stay in Paris (within 30 minutes by metro), Nice (French Riviera), or Montpellier which is a nice city in the south of France where people are known for their hospitality and kindness. It is also a region where the climate is mild and sunny all year round.

Host families are carefully screened by our local representatives so that each student is guaranteed a fully enjoyable experience of sharing the life of a French family. Host families will be aware of our expectations, moral values as well as our hygiene requirements. It will be a unique experience where participants will be able to enjoy their host family's everyday life and customs. Complete immersion in a new culture is the best, most efficient, and easiest way to become fluent in a target language and to become more understanding and open towards other cultures. Your host family's sole motivation will be to share their lives with you. They will be chosen based upon your age and interests and the age and interest of the members of your host family.

- Classes

We have agreements with the best foreign language institutes for our students to get the best French learning experience during their stay in France. Spending a month in France will make you feel like you were there for a whole semester. The method used is a perfect compromise between the amount of grammar needed to master the basics of the language and oral situations which will allow you to quickly grasp the jest of everyday French. Students will be placed in different groups depending on their level.

- Connections

Whether you chose to stay in Paris or Montpellier, an ICCS area coordinator will greet you at the airport and take you to your home or wait with you until your host family arrives to pick you up. He (or she) will organize outings and visits of Paris at least once a month and will be in touch with you to make sure everything is going well. Your area coordinator will be there because he (or she) is interested in foreign cultures and he (or she) wants to share this experience with you. You will have his phone number with you and you should never be afraid to call him (or her) if you have any questions or problems.

ICCS will do everything possible to make your stay in France the most enjoyable and unforgettable experience of your life. Staying in cities like Paris, Nice or Montpellier can be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity not to be missed. Come enjoy all the outdoor shows, plays, concerts, visit our museums, palaces, castles, operas and other national monuments.
