Claude François

He was the creator of French disco music. Throughout the 60's, 70's and 80's, Claude François's music was heard everywhere in France. Even today, people love to dance hearing his songs in nightclubs. 20 years after dying in his bathtub while listening to the radio, Cloclo, as he was nicknamed, is still remembered as a legend.

Daniel Balavoine

One of our greatest singers from the late 70's throughout the 80's. As many great artists who have lived, he almost became a legend when he tragically died in a helicopter accident in the famous Paris-Dakar car race.

Jacques Brel

Born and raised in Belgium, he was one of France's greatest music figures. From the late 50's until the end of the 70's, Brel was the idol of a whole generation. With a voice and lyrics that stood out from the rest of the music scene, he will be remembered as one of France's greatest singers.

Jean-Jacques Goldman

One of France's greatest musicians. Has mainly played rock music since the 80's until today. Has been composing for many great artists such as Céline Dion. Beautiful texts.

Johnny is France's living legend. He is considered to be the French Elvis. He has been around since the 60's and is loved by everyone. His unique voice, his looks and his character has made him an icon of French music.

Louise Attaque

This band broke through in the late 90's. Their music is one of a new kind called "celtic rock". Great rock rhythms with excellent lyrics.

MC Solaar

He is the symbol of France's new generation. He has been the most popular French rapper since the early 90's. Originally from Senegal, Mc Solaar has set a great example of ethics and perseverance for the younger generation that has looked up to him as a role model.

Michel Sardou

Has been around since the early 70's. His style is mainly French pop music with excellent tunes and even better lyrics. Sardou is definitely a French artist to listen to.

Mylène Farmer

She is said to be the French Madonna. She's got the looks and a kinky personality. Mylène cries and faints onstage and loves to talk about sex in her songs.

Patricia Kaas

She emmerged in the early 90's as a leading artist. With a deep voice, she has conquered all of France and has even gone beyond our borders to let others hear her beautiful voice.

Patrick Bruel

He emerged as the teenage girls' favorite in the early 80's and has grown with his audience until today. His beautiful ballads have made him one of the most popular singers of his generation.

Renaud

Renaud can be halfway between pop rock and country music. He sings about those who don't have anything and describes society with words (slang) he made up himself. Interesting for the language itself.

Serge Gainsbourg

One of the greatest French artists of all times. He was said to be a poet. Serge Gainsbourg had a kinky personality and was very provocative. He was famous for burning a 500 franc bill on a French late show.

Stephane Eicher

Born and raised in Switzerland, Stephan Eicher is the Picasso of French music. Even though most of his songs are in French, he also wrote some in English and Swiss German (his native language). When asked in what language he had to think, he replied "I think in colors". His style is between pop and rock. The music is great and the lyrics even better.
