They introduced me to their friends and they were very excited to meet someone from the US. They asked me all kinds of questions, wanted me to teach them some English and they taught me a lot of French. I no longer have this old vision of the French being rude. Here in Paris, they call it honesty, and they have no negative intentions whatsoever. Spending a here in France has allowed me to better understand the French and their way of thinking based upon their history and customs."
