"Salut! I spent a school month in Paris and it was the most amazing experience I've ever had. My host brothers and sisters were really nice. They introduced me to their friends and they were very excited to meet someone from the US. They asked me all kinds of questions, wanted me to teach them some English and they taught me a lot of French. I no longer have this old vision of the French being rude. Here in Paris, they call it honesty, and they have no negative intentions whatsoever. Spending a here in France has allowed me to better understand the French and their way of thinking based upon their history and customs."

Isabelle, host mother of Amy from Melbourne, Australia

"We had already hosted an American girl last summer and we thought we'd give it a shot for a year. It was a tremendous experience. Everybody loved Amy in our family. It was a real pleasure having her around. She became best friends with my 16 year-old daughter Nathalie. Now she wants to go spend a year in Melbourne! Not only Amy taught us some Australian English, but she also showed us how nice and generous Australians can be. We will definitely do this again."
